For more than two decades, Philadelphia artist and collector Harry Anderson has scoured flea markets, dumpsters, and the city streets, gathering cultural cast-offs—Fiestaware, fifties memorabilia, automobile parts, and more—and transformed them into whimsical and witty lamp/sculpture and installations. Accompanying the survey of Anderson's career, this catalog examines his relationship to the found-object tradition of sculpture as well as the new generation of “Dumpster Divers.”
