This landmark exhibition marked the first time that such a large and comprehensive group of Ramiriz's drawings was assembled. Ranging in size from two inches to nine feet, with subjects that fall into several categories, the selections illustrate the breadth of this artist’s oeuvre. That Martin Ramirez, a mute patient in a mental hospital, diagnosed “paranoid schizophrenic, deteriorated,” was able to create this monumental body of work is a testament to the urgent power behind the creative drive.

In response to frequent requests for the original catalog, now out of print, we are offering an excellent photocopy in black and white, saddle-stitched (with staples).
